COPENHAGEN – December 2009

method + hopenhagen method has always been about changing the way we do business and using business as an agent for broader societal change.

method co-founder Adam Lowry worked at the Carnegie Institute on the Kyoto Protocol. his work there was a foundation for the belief that business is a great agent for change and he left that position in order to create change faster than he saw effected by policy making. read his Hopenhagen blog.

by setting up method as a successful business Adam & his co-founder Eric Ryan has shown that there is a positive business model that is both environmentally and financially sustainable.

the UN Climate Conference in Copenhagen in December is an important moment in history and it is only natural that method is encouraging the people against dirty to get behind a historic outcome of such magnitude that it will change the future our planet.

we have chosen to be a corporate partner of Hopenhagen – the message of spreading hope and individual action instead of usual guilt is very much in line with method’s approach - bright green, not guilty green.

method is keen to show that businesses can, and should, operate with neutral or positive impact on the environment and in particular a carbon footprint.

the kind of targets we would like to see are 40% reduction by 2020 and a 95% reduction by 2050
