We don’t like to brag, but this here is one enlightened and rare bottle. Unlike most bottles, it used to be another bottle entirely. Maybe not as attractive. And probably not as cheeky. But this bottle has been reincarnated from 100% recycled plastic.
Our go naked non-toxic surface cleaner (naked because it sports no dyes or fragrances) is the first of many method bottles made from 100% recycled plastic. It arrived in John Lewis and a few Waitrose stores in late August and will soon spread to Tesco and Sainsbury in October. Our entire line of hand washes are next, followed soon by every bottle we make.
This is a first in cleaning or personal care in the UK. You’ll note that this bottle carries a slight green tint – a little souvenir of the recycling process. This inevitable green tint has discouraged many companies from thinking seriously about 100% recycled plastic. But we think it’s a vital step in the right direction. and we actually like how it looks. Kind of like a tattoo – but not an embarrassing one. Substance meets style.
We believe every product has a past, a present, and a future. This means we source materials responsibly, including the plastic from this bottle. This means our products are non-toxic and actually fun to use. And it means they are biodegradable and recyclable when you’re done.
With good karma, maybe, just maybe, it will come back as a nice method hand wash on the Dalai Lama’s sink.
